Jonti Cameron jewellery is all handmade. Each piece has been made and finished to a very high standard. To maintain the look of your beautiful Jonti Cameron piece remember to treat it with care as it is real jewellery.
Each tiny bead is hand sewn onto the leather with one long length of thread. When the jewellery is newly made the tension can sometimes be a little tight and with wear the leather and tension will soften. Sometimes the tiny beads struggle for domination and one might succeed. If this is the case, gently rub your fingers along the length of your bracelet to move the bead back into position. There is room for every bead so it will slot back into place. BUT BE GENTLE.
Do not wear your Jonti Cameron piece in water, keep away from heat and try to avoid contact with grease, perfumes, chemicals, lotion, soap and hairspray. This could discolour your beautiful product.
Polish your jewellery frequently with a soft lint free cloth.
Leather
Most of the Jonti Cameron pieces are made with leather. Most of the leather has been dyed to create the beautiful array of colour choices.
Do not wear your Jonti Cameron piece in water and try to avoid contact with grease, perfumes, chemicals, lotion, soap and hairspray. This could discolour your beautiful product.
Sterling Silver
The sterling silver beads on your Jonti Cameron piece will self clean the more it is worn. If you store your piece in its original packaging it should stay untarnished. However, different climates and conditions could cause some tarnishing. Rub beads gently with a soft dry cloth and the tarnish should come off quite easily or use a silver cleaning cloth bought from any good hardware store but be gentle. Remember each piece is handmade.
14kt Gold Filled
What is gold filled?
Gold filled is made from solid “gold” and “filled” with other alloys. Gold filled wears like solid gold because its outer surface is solid gold. Electroplating is not part of the process.
Gold filled is made by fusing a layer of Karat gold to a suitable supporting metal (or alloy) using equipment that carefully controls pressure, heat and time. The bond produced is a permanent one. With reasonable care, gold filled jewellery will last a lifetime.
Frequent cleaning with a soft cloth will keep the jewellery free from elements that oxidize.
Swarovski Crystal Buttons
Swarovski crystal is a delicate material that must be handled with special care. Jonti Cameron will not be held liable for any damages incurred after the receipt of products. To ensure your Swarovski button remains in the best possible condition over an extended period of time avoid hard contact (ie knocking against objects) that can scratch or chip the crystal.
Polish with a soft lint free cloth.
Semi Precious gemstones
Semi precious gemstones all vary in their strength and durability. Due to their natural origin they are likely to have imperfections and inclusions and this can add to their charm.
Simply polish with a soft lint free cloth.
